Nuaire is committed to creating and maintaining a world-class health and safety environment to protect employees, visitors, and the general public from injury harm or ill health. It is an essential part to our operating philosophy and we do this through detail H&S policies, specific objectives and ensuring a high level of awareness, with everybody responsible and we operate to OHSAS 18001:2007.
Reducing the environmental impact of the business is a high priority for Nuaire. Since achieving the Green Dragon Level 5 accreditation in 2006, the company was keen to improve its overall environmental performance through detailed strategic assessment of actions. In 2009, Nuaire demonstrated its commitment to reducing its carbon footprint when it became one of the first manufacturers in the UK, and the first every ventilation company to be awarded the Carbon Trust Standard.
As a result of Nuaire measuring, managing and reducing its carbon emissions repeatedly year on year, in June 2011, the company was audited by the Carbon Trust and has successfully retained the accreditation for a further two years.
As part of our ISO 14001:2004 processes Nuaire have strict environmental targets and objectives.
Our environmental management systems also highlight our sustainability targets which are embedded to all parts of Nuaire, from our design team, through direct areas of impact in manufacturing through to indirect impact in use, and through to a products end of life disposal.
An equal opportunities employer, Nuaire endeavours to employ people from the local area. It supports the local community through involvement in various charitable events and other educational initiatives, and regular contributes to the favoured charities of its employees and customers alike.
