It is no surprise the range has exceeded expectations over the years, with the dual action units providing ventilation on the go with there being 2 built-in fans, meaning that if one fails, the other will automatically energise to provide constant ventilation.

Having invented the very first Twin Fan back in 1973 with the launch of the ILT range, it is safe to say that our innovative expertise has continued to shine through with the range expansion over the years.

The range was predominantly designed to address the specification requirements of the old GLC - which became standard practice throughout the UK for the ventilation of toilets, bathrooms, and washrooms.

Since 2002, our Twin Fans have been fitted with Ecosmart controls which, like the earlier Microsave versions, place all of the control gear within the unit and require only SELV connections for additional sensors and user controls, allowing for maximum ease of use and straightforward management.

The Sirocco Davidson Blowers

Our Twin Fans dating back to the very early days of the range included the Twin Fan Belt Drive models (TFBD) which had Sirocco Davidson Blowers mounted to enable them to discharge upwards through independent spigots. Each of the blowers were driven by a belt and used a crude but effective airflow switch to detect fan failure. The TFBD models were widely used on medium to high rise dwellings in London.

Today, our expertise and experience remain truly unmatched within the ventilation sector, with contemporary Twin Fans available to help with your ventilation needs. Nuaire’s Twin Fans cover a duty range of up to 6m3/s using direct drive blowers up to 1.3m3/s and belt drive versions thereafter. It is best practice to use Twin Fans for applications such as toilets and kitchens as these are areas which require guaranteed ventilation.

The development of the range saw the evolution of materials utilised to manufacture the cases used for the Twin Fans. Today, our contemporary Twin Fan cases are made with Magnelis steel, ensuring complete robustness to guarantee the highest level of customer satisfaction.

Our famous Twin Fans have left their mark in ground-breaking establishments all over the world, with these including the extraordinary Qatar Foundation Stadium and Al Janoub Stadium - the homes of the 2022 FIFA World Cup

The Aire-Volve Twin (AVT) is the most recent Twin Fan, providing the most modern patented twin fan technology. Consisting of unique features such as acoustic baffling and matched attenuators, the AVT is truly representative of the Twin Fan development and journey since its initial launch in 1973 with the first Twin Fan models.

The Twin Fan has surpassed expectations through its continuous development, demonstrated expertise and most of all high-standard continuous ventilation capabilities.
