Student Heat Recovery Range Gets the Judges Vote!
October 2016
Creating a healthy, quiet home-from-home environment for students is the primary goal of the new heat recovery range from Nuaire, UNI-X. Now the range has been shortlisted as a finalist in the Student Accommodation Awards for Innovation of the Year.
Judges of the nationally-recognised industry award looked for clear evidence of genuine, industry-changing innovation which could improve well-being. The UNI-X range ticked the right boxes with its ability to improve indoor air quality and provide powerful ventilation at ultra-low noise levels, both of which help create the optimum learning and living environment for students.
Ventilation manufacturer, Nuaire launched the new commercial range in June 2017. Product Manager, Caroline Radcliffe explained: “The UNI-X range has been very well-received by customers and we are pleased to be winning some huge student accommodation projects across the country. Today’s students are more demanding of their accommodation, and rightly-so. We designed this range not only to meet the needs of the building designers, but to provide better indoor air quality and lower noise for occupants. “We’re delighted to be shortlisted for the Innovation of the Year award and look forward to networking with other nominees and sponsors at the ceremony in December.”
UNI-X is the first packaged heat recovery range designed specifically for student accommodation, with options for studio, 4, 8 and 12-bed clusters. The range offers high efficiency, low SFPs and unmatched noise levels.
Ensuring better air quality was paramount in the design process, and UNI-X is further enhanced by the addition of Nuaire’s in-line carbon filter range, IAQ-BOX, which removes up to 99.5% of harmful NOX and up to 80% of particulate matter.
The range can be specified with Nuaire’s award-winning, all-in-one thermal ducting range, Ductmaster Thermal, to improve thermal efficiency and reduce installation time. Nuaire is working closely with consultants, providing a free drawing service to ensure optimum performance of the UNI-X systems.
